Two to be hanged for killing Osun varsity student

An Osun State High Court sitting in Ikirun on Thursday sentenced two men Elijah Oyebode and Jelili Raji to death by hanging for the murder of a female student of University of Osun.
Oyebode and Raji were first arraigned on November 14, 2017 alongside Yusuf Ajibade, 28.

During the trial, prosecution counsel called five witnesses and tendered several exhibits before the court while the convicts testified by themselves.
Prosecution counsel, Mr. Kareem Adekilekun who appeared along with Kemi Oyolola, told the court: “On the 22nd December 2016 Miss Rofiat Damilola Adebisi, a 400-level student of Osun State University, Ipetu-Ijesa Campus boarded a Golf car with Registration number, Lagos FKJ 636 DL driven by Mr. Elijah Oyebode.”
However, On the 23rd of December, 2016 the body of Rofiat Damilola Adebisi was found by the roadside along Egbeda/Iragbiji Road.

BREAKING: Schools to reopen August 4 for final year pupils – FG

The Federal Government has said Secondary schools in the country will reopen on August 4, 2020 for pupils in exit classes to sit for their examination. The government said students will have two weeks to prepare for the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination organised by the West Africa Examination Council. WAEC exams, the government said will commence on 17th of August, 2020.
